What, you didn't find enough on the
home page?
OK, here's a few more:
We host exchange students for a high school year in
the U.S. I'd guess you'd call it a habit at this point as we're
expecting our fourth student for the 2002-2003 school year. We
go through an organization called EF.
Their web page is a little hard to navigate, but if you have questions
about being a host family, I can probably answer them. When you're
pregnant for the first time, people comfort you by saying you're
not giving birth to a teenager. Well, every August, I sort of
give birth to a new 16-year-old girl. The worst part of the whole
experience is when they leave in June.
I am the Rescue coordinator for the Irish Setter Club
of St. Louis. If you are interested in this breed, please visit
the Irish Setter Club
of America (ISCA)'s website. If you are interested in acquiring
a purebred dog, please contact the breed club before doing so!
They will tell you how to find a quality purebred puppy, or perhaps
even a rescue who needs a new home. Please. Under no circumstances
buy a pet from a retail pet store! If you'd like an Irish setter
as purdy as mine, ask me about it. Purebred dogs are also often
to be found in shelters and through the many groups working to
rehome unwanted and stray animals.
I am working on my Masters in Education at the University of Missouri St. Louis.
Here's a paper I wrote about Learning
Disabilities for parents facing down an IEP.
The Working Woman's Guide to Staying
Home is something I wrote for a parenting newspaper a few
years ago.
We are members of St.
Barnabas Episcopal Church in Florissant, Missouri.
Ana with Vinnie (Sailwind Vince
Lombardi JH CGC), the strangled dog on the left, and Yuka, a puppy
rescued from the North County Rabies Control, now being actively
spoiled by a family in Wisconsin.
