First off, I have to say that it was an excellent show.

Now, was it me or did Ebba have one hell of a nasty attitude or what? I understand that it's tough being the opening act, especially when most of the audience are there for only the headliner, but come on.

Now on to Neil. I spent the show down front, right in front of Liam. Boy, does the kid like his amp loud.

Unfortunately, I don't have the set list, Neil abandoned it (for the most part) during his acoustic break. He was supposed to play "Fall at Your Feet" and one other (forget what it was), but ended up doing requests. The requests were better as it became audience participation time. Neil admitted that he probably didn't remember all of the lyrics to "Pineapple Head" (and he did forget), but the audience helped him along.

All in all, a great show. Especially the solo piano version of "When You Come." Hate the way it was requested, but I'm very glad it was performed. Let's hope this finds it's way onto a fan club release.

    Now for some observations.

Someone mentioned that Neil seemed a bit off. I have to agree. Initially, he seemed a bit tired or distracted at the beginning. He got a great response from the crowd and seemed to feed off the energy.

Liam seemed to be having technical problems throughout the show. Not all of those looks from Neil to Liam were looks of pride. A good number were, "What's going on over there?" It also seemed that when Liam was playing electric guitar that he was too loud in the mix. This could be because I was right in front of him, so I'd be interested in hearing from someone who had a different vantage point.

Anyway, it was an excellent show. Those who are waiting for the show to come to their town certainly have something to look forward to.
