Just wanted to give my impressions of the Orlando show. It was fantastic! I had gotten there about 15 minutes before the doors opened and there was actually quite a bit of a line. Despite that, I was still able to get right up front (it being a general admission show). Neil looked and sounded great, and his band seemed really relaxed and getting into it. Highlights for me included "Last One Standing" (a great opener) and "Fall at Your Feet" (just Neil and his guitar, the crowd sang along and even added harmonies, which Neil commented on. It gave me chills.) The crowd was wonderful, very enthusiastic, and the singalongs were actually very good. I think even Neil was surprised and impressed with the crowd. As has been mentioned before, there was curfew so there were some songs that he didn't get to play (i.e. "Faster than Light") and it went by way too fast. I brought friends who didn't know who he was but even they enjoyed the show. So overall, it was a great evening. For those of you who have shows coming up, you are in for a wonderful night (but you already knew that, didn't you!?!). |
