Yes, I did get the set list from the floor of the stage. I climbed right up there, feet and rear end in everbody's face, and ripped that baby off. It's just a typed up copy (with the prefixes for songs like "Suffer" for "Suffer Never" and "Distant" for "Distant Sun"), with the date and Orlando at the bottom, but still a valuable item. Heidi Tandy, a fellow listie who stood right next to me during the concert, scored the pick (I didn't even see it).

I met up with some fellow listies, as well as some VERY devoted Finn fans (One girl had two full, jam-packed scrapbooks with more Crowded House stuff than I could read). It's nice to see other fans besides listies pouring their hearts out for Neil, CH, Split Enz. A gathering of about ten of us waited first in line for a while (I know small beans, only ten, but hey, it's Florida), but I decided to do some searching. I found a door at the back of the House Of Blues with a towel wedged in it to keep in open. I took a peak in and heard Neil's voice blaring and saw some sound guys. I quickly ran around to our little gang and informed them (I didn't want to let them out on the moment).

So myself, Heidi, and the scrapbook girl Mona scurried to the back and went inside. We were there for a good five minutes just watching Neil in his loose shirt, baggy sport pants, and sandals practicing with the band. He looked over at us and I put my arm up and silently said, "Yeah. Neil." It was a great moment.

As far as the songs go, I'm not going to go on and on about it just let you know he played everything off Try Whistling This except "Dream Date" and "Faster than Light" (too bad). Split Enz songs: A solo keyboard version of "Message To My Girl," and of course "I Got You." There was a strong request for "The Devil You Know" as well as a torn-out Try Whistling This ad from a paper with all the listies' requests. He read them but then threw it down and said "I'm going to play something nobody requested." It was "Don't Dream It's Over,"(probably because he was rushed for time.

CH songs: "Distant Sun," acoustic "Fall At Your Feet," "Private Universe," "Don't Dream It's Over." Highlights for me was "Try Whistling This" and "Addicted," which he ended the concert with, face-down exhausted on the keyboard (both so much better live).

About 20 or so die-hard fans, including about ten listies I guess, sang along to every song and one girl had full tears streaming down her face after Neil performed "Message." "Don't Dream" and "I Got You" were house favorites as expected.

My first ever Finn concert was awesome and it went above and beyond what I ever imagined. What I was not happy about was the fact that, just because Peter [Green, fan club president] couldn't go to the first leg of the U.S. tour, that meant that NOBODY, not even lifetime club members, could go backstage. And get this: nothing to buy either. I wanted a shirt and poster so badly too. I guess we'll have to order it through the club.

July 18, 1998 will replay over and over in mind forever as one of, if not the greatest moments in my life.
