I thought I would communicate some highlights:

    1. "Rocky Racoon:" Neil asked "any requests" when alone on stage in the first set, there was a cacophony of audience suggestions. Someone suggested the Beatles' White Album "Rocky Racoon." Neil said "That's obscure!" -- and proceeded to perform two verses and two choruses. Now that was way cool!

    2. Someone else earlier had shouted out "Hole in the River" -- Neil said "You never know!" -- later in the evening he performed it on piano -- wow! what a moment. Great version.

    3. Liam Finn. I saw Neil throw a couple of 'smiles' Liam's way. Once was at the end of "Souvenir". Liam is by no means a novelty on this tour. He is a member of the band and pulls his weight. I was impressed!

    4. Sadly, "Message to My Girl" was dropped from this show; but "Rocky Racoon" and "Hole in the River" made up for it!

    5. Overall, the lights were trippy. Way cool.

    6. In one song, Neil "indulged" himself with his foot pedals/guitar effects. Lots of echo/delay etc. Obviously, he accidently unplugged something as he had to get the guitar tech out before the next song to "fix it up." Neil: "Don't worry, I don't use half of this shit!"

    7. Intro to "Dream Date:" "This song is about sitting at home on the couch watching TV and seeing a young band, new guard playing, and tapping your feet -- and thinking "its about time I retire -- nahh, fuck it." Cheers from the audience.
