Martian Dreams
by Nancy Wilcox
Ancient seas call me
across a sand-blasted plain,
across forever.
Ghost-water storm-surge
drowns memories of beaches --
transcendent waves crash.
Lit by distant sun,
from a cold and empty sky,
red grit sifts as rain.
