Review by Laura Heyman

The show was a very good one. All performances were impressive but for me Crowded House took the prorverbial cake. (i was going to say chocolate cake and decided against it--good song bad connotation *grin*)

CH was impressive both musically and personality-wise. It was fun to watch the camraderie between them. Mark even got into the act some (not much -but give him some time *smile*) Oh--Just a mention--Many of the newspaper articles that we've seen about WOMAD stated that CH would be playing on stage 2 (the smaller of the stages) but at Buckeye (at least) they played on stage 1. Following are a few points from the concert.

Flying Bikes--i couldn't really tell what they were but they looked like flying bikes-Neil dedicated "Fall at Your Feet" to them as they circled the stage area.

Human Pyramids--During one of the songs (i'm having trouble remembering which) Neil announced that it was a good human pyramid song. well no one made any pyramids so after the song was over the band, along with some of the roadies, made a pyramid on stage. Then (you guessed it) the crowd coudn't stop making them.

smart drinks--Neil said that he'd kiss whoever brought Nick and him one. some woman near the front of the stage went running and brought two drinks up and true to Neil's word, NICK kissed her.

song list-i think the same as the previous except -- i think that "Love you till the day i die" was replaced with "Into Temptation" I was very impressed with "Into Temptation" and "There Goes God" They were exceptionally performed at Buckeye!
