So you want to join the Crowded House mailing list. You want to connect to over 500 fellow fans located around the world to participate in unbelievably exciting (and sometimes remarkably boring) discussions on every nit-picking, little, eensy-weensy, tiny aspect of the lives, muses, and -- yes, dare we say it, the hairstyles -- of the people who are in Crowded House, Split Enz, and other "splinter groups" somehow connected with the musicians (including Tim Finn, Hunters & Collectors, Schnell Fenster, The Makers, and many other groups).

We must say, you have very good taste.

An on-line subscription form is available, or you may prefer to subscribe via e-mail. Details on how to subscribe via e-mail are at the bottom of this page.

The Crowded House mailing list is offered in two versions: a "talk" (or "bounce") format, and a "digest" format. On the "talk" list, list members post thoughts and information to the official address. These posts are forwarded immediately to each of the 200 or so members of the "talk" list. People on this list get information instantly, as group members send it out, and as a result they hear about concerts, release dates, television appearances and the sale of rare collectible items more quickly. They also have an easier time conducting conversations with other list members on CH-related topics. The "digest" list is an option for people who can't get much mail, or simply can't keep up with the mail on the talk list. At most, you'll get one digest, called Tongue in the Mail, every day. Each digest is edited to contain only the substantive posts submitted to the talk list. Digest members can still post to the talk list as often as they wish.

The FTP Site

• List member Balthasar von Weymarn attended Crowded House's show in Hamburg, Germany and has created a page reviewing this 6 June 1996 show, including images.
• The band's last Amsterdam concert at Cafe de Kroon on 11 June 1996 was broadcast in RealAudio on the TROS page, and they have placed an edited version of this concert on the Web (using RealAudio) on their site. You can also check out images of this historic concert.
• I Magazine, an online zine, has a wonderful interview with the band. They're billing it as the "very last interview ever with Crowded House," but recent interviews have proven that you should never say "the very last anything" when talking about Crowded House.
• The Parlophone Web site features an announcement of the release of "Not The Girl You Think You Are."
